  • I agree, speak to another broker. They will be able to assess your application properly when they have all of the facts. Shop around as broker fees can vary massively. It doesn't necessarily have to be a local one as all business can be conducted over the phone etc.

    Yep, I’m making repayments against the defaults but I’ve got a conundrum in that I can take money out of my deposit pot to satisfy these defaults but that’s only useful if it will help with my mortgage application as by doing this I’ll be further reducing my deposit.

    I’ve tried to settle up on one of them, Barclaycard and right now it has a balance of about 6k and Barclays offered me to settle it at 5k, does this seem like a good offer? I’ve counted offered them with 3k but they are not agreeing to this.
