Morning All,
Glad to here Nelski's op went well.
Yesterday was the usual visit to my moms house, cleared some more items and my hubby cut one of the lawns.
I have some towels in the WM to hang out today. No rain overnight here, looks a bit cloudy but warm. Rain is for tomorrow here.

Good morning chums and a greyish looking morning at the moment but not cold just a wee bit 'muggy' IYSWIM
This morning I shall be doing a bit of ironing while listening to my beloved Archers omnibus Naff I know but I enjoy it
Then at 12 I have to pick up DD and the family and we are off to DGD Katie's for sunday lunch and lots of cuddles with her baby Erin, (I bought a Winnie-the-pooh Bear while on holiday for her ) Every need a bear of little brain to cuddle when small
This week it's DGS Henry's turn for exams as he is doing his AS ones this week DGS Jack only has two more exams to do then he finishes school on Tuesday, and all his 'A' levels are finished, and he can stay at home until mid July then go in for the leaving day
Eldest DGS Ben is off to Mexico on Tuesday with his girlfriend for a couple of weeks so all the boys are sortedI still will be going there just before school ends as the boys like to come home to a smiley face after school (plus some HM cakes
) I fit everything elses in around them.
I enjoyed my holiday, but I am also glad to be home again as I do miss the family while I am away, and this year missed Henry and Mikey's birthdays because of the holiday.
Right time to get a wriggle on Have a great Sunday chums what ever you are doing
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Yesterdays tea was well attended, and a very good tea. Unfortunately I must have eaten something which disagreed with me. I spent the latter part of the night chained to the loo. Sorry TMI. I am not eating, sticking to fluids today, the garden visit is off, just do not feel like walking round 14 gardens. Stomach has settled.........but not worth taking the risk especially as I have to drive to get there.
OH is in the garden. We have to prep the kitchen ready for the removal of the sink unit tomorrow morning. I think I am going to hide in the garden shed!!0 -
Morning lovelies,
Not very good this morning, slept till 10am with terrible dreams all through the night. I feel exhausted already. It must be the tablets the DR gave me:(.
Anyway Dad's coming for lunch and on today's menu is pork chops, roast pots, cabbage and mixed veg with gravy. I think there's some HM apple sauce in the freezer too so I'll have to dig that out..... scrub that, I've just looked and it's pineapple chunks :rotfl:.
Mr Fix It has run the hoover over downstairs, he's a gem and I think I'll keep himand I've managed to peel the potatoes and put the DW on.
This afternoon I'm vegetating on the sofa watching a film, as I promised Dad " The life of Brian ". He's never seen it and it's one of my and Mr Fix It's favourite films, which always makes us laugh.
DGD had a melt down yesterday before her performing arts lesson, but was fine when she got there.... I told DD that she doesn't need acting lessons :rotfl:.
TA well done to Margot and Darcy. I would have loved to be there as I was always ballet mad, but have more than 2 left feet so was unable to do it. I did try lessons when younger (not a pretty sight .)
Camelot I am so pleased that thing are going well :T
ScarlettR happy holidays. Have a lovely time.
Beentheredonethat. I'm with you on the grocery budget. I seem to be buying food all the time and it must stop. I was better off when I did a monthly shop from Tes*o.
Hester what a lovely way to keep fit
Gers please let us know what it tastes like, I'm eager to know as it sounds like my kind of cooking.
Holly thanks for the start off. I see you are back to being up with the larks. I'll have words with the Sandman about that :rotfl:.
OK I'm off to start up the oven so I hope everyone has a good Sunday.
Hugs to all
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Late to the party - again :rotfl: So glad that family life seems to be treating most of us well
DH & I are rubbing along fairly well with my DSis but she really doesn’t like the heat
I am sending lots of (((hugs))) to TA & MrTA.
Have pottered about this morning - vacuumed & plumped up sofa cushions, rearranged the freezer, washed up as & when & finally decided what to have for dinner :rotfl: so am just off to MrA. DSis is awaiting delivery of shelving & storage units so she & DH will be busy this afternoon :rotfl: I on the other hand will clean the fridge & do lots of sunbathing :rotfl:
Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday

Afternoon!
The morning went well, visited my neighbour who is making me a seat, bench and table for the front garden. All in a rustic style (i.e. chunky as he's not good with finesse). So happy.
My attempt at the crisp, chocolate and peanut tart has been aborted - my flan tin is not deep enough to hold everything. I discovered that when all the crisp and golden syrup mixture filled the tart tin by themselves. No point making / wasting the chocolate, butter and peanuts if it won't fit. I've ordered a new tin from A mazon which will be here on Tuesday.
Now I need to do a smidgeon of prep for the one-off class tomorrow but I'll take the laptop into the back garden to do.
First, a cup of tea.0 -
Lovely BBQ at DGD and lots of Erin cuddles I love watching my DD with the baby ,no wonder she had five ,she has a great maternal instinct and just didn't stop smiling all day (DD and DGGD) Am home now and I'm just about to do a little more ironing, must catch up with the holiday washing as this week is a busy one for me.
DGD asked me to make a baby blankey for DGGD and apparently the 'in' colour is grey for today's Mums so it will be a white one with grey lines dissecting it into cubes. Luckily in my big haul from the CS last week there were several balls of a soft light grey wool and I was wondering what I could do with them so no need to buy any I have everything in my wool stash to make one for her .Just got to finish off the Linus charity blanket then I will start on the baby one for great granddaughter Erin. I will probably embroider her name and date of birth in one corner as well. All of my grandchildren have had a 'blankey' over the years, the boys ones in their favourite football teams colours and the two girls in bright 'ice cream shades' I have an order in for one for my DGS wife Hayley in New York for Christmas in pink, peppermint and cream so my needles will be clicking away this summerIts good exercise for my weak arm though so I don't mind.
Looks as though everyone has had a reasonable weekend and the forecast for this week isn't too bad weatherwise I am looking forward to Wimbledon on TV as I love watching it ,Not the women's ones though all that grunting and yelling irritates me I'd rather watch the men running aroundnicer legs as well
:):)
Cheers chums
