Ebay - Selling allowances

I know there are some guidelines on ebay regarding this. Though I am maxed out on my selling allowance of 270. I have some further stuff I would like to list, things are gradually selling.
I am above standard and have great DSR rating.
Has anyone requested a higher selling allowance before? Is it advisable etc, or best to generally leave the status quo in these situations, because more checks and documentation required or will ebay think I am a business when not?

According to posts on the community boards if you phone ebay they will increase your limit with no questions asked. Apparently they will do this once every calendar month.

OK many thanks. I would of thought it would be in their interests, as more listings could be more sales and more FVF's!
