WGP No I prefer to keep colouring. I think the 40 mins spent every 5 weeks to keep up to it is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

    Morning all

Thanks for the thread Holly and for letting us know about Nelski.

Moving day for us, we've been here two weeks, we will move to the water point it's about two miles away, I shall walk it and do the locks and swing bridges, then I'll walk back to get the car whilst CHS fills the water tank.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Thanks Holly for news about Nelski.

AOD welcome to the ranks of the retired!! You will soon wonder how you managed to go to work. Take a couple of months to 'holiday' and recover from working.

We are out for tea today. There is a village draw, everyone who subscribes pays £12 for the year. There is a draw once a month, each June the ladies of the village put on a free tea for the over 60's. Its always very good, there is a raffle to which we get free tickets. So a good afternoon out.

Its dull this morning, OH will be watching the TV I guess, I have a pile of ironing to tackle, so will be otherwise engaged, although I may just shoot through to see who is there.

No supper tonight. Tomorrow we are going to an open gardens day, so I will do bacon sarnies for a late breakfast. I cooked a gammon joint yesterday, will slice it and do a salad so supper will be almost ready when we get back. I hope its a nice day, 14 gardens open to visit. I will be allowing a small amount for plants........I have spent so much on the garden this year. There is a method in my madness but more of that later.

Just wrote a post and lost it :(.
Never mind would have bored you silly anyway.
Holly thanks for the start off and for keeping us up to date about Nelski. :A
Nelski soon have you salsa-ing about. Take care of yourself and I am sending you many healing vibes so that you make a quick recovery :A
TA good luck to the DGC with Cinderella, perhaps this one could be Darcy, as in Darcy Bussell ? :rotfl:. I'm with you on hair colouring, it must be done or my DGD thinks if you have grey hair you're really old. Can't have that now can I ? :rotfl:
Csarina I'm a bit jealous of your village, because as the oldies are leaving this one ( in one way or another, if you get my drift ) the young ones are moving in and they don't have much spare time for village life :(
JackieO glad to have you back :j
Righty ho must get on with the colouring, my hair that is, but I think I'll have another cuppa first. Priorities, priorities :D.
Take care and hugs to all
    nan xx

    Good afternoon everyone
I seem to have had a busy morning...cleaned the bathroom and then went into town early. Got some bits at Home Bargains and Iceland; I was only in town for an hour. Then I've hung washing out and cleaned upstairs. Going to have a walk down to my mam and dads soon.
My eldest DD comes home tomorrow...but only for 2 days ! My brother is driving to Leeds tomorrow to pick her and all her belongings up and that's her finished with university. Four years seem to have gone very fast! So she's leaving again on Tuesday after tea to stay near the airport and flies to Bangkok on Wednesday morning. She's doing a tour of Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia for 3 weeks but may stay a bit longer, unless she gets any job interviews. She's very excited!
Right better get on ...hope everyone has a good day

Wishing Nelski a very speedy recovery; glad the op went well.

I'm another who has to continue with the hair colour; though that said, right now I resemble a red-and-silver badger! I can't do it til Honey goes home though, as the stuff stinks the bungalow out, and I don't think it's fair to subject a doggy guest to that. If I can get it done in time for Litha I'll be satisfied - Mr LW will help me, I'm sure. :o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Afternoon all, I thought I'd posted but seems not. I've been messing about, watched a film read the paper, got stuck on the crossword, had a bath, finished a book, total fail on the domestic front about which I care little today.
Get Well soon Nelski and thank you for updating us Holly.

OH has been shopping, he's cooking thus evening, I just want to finish off a baby garment and then I must make yet another bear in a babygro.

    I don't dye my hair,
I just let it go white in stripes. I am Mrs Tiger
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

NAN my DGDs are of the same mind as yours! I once said something about being old and youngest said "You're not old grandma or your hair would be the same colour as grandads" (His is silver and he's 3 years younger than me!) Now pass me that box of Nutrisse it's time to address those roots!

Afternoon all - the lovely sunny and very hot morning in Glasgow has given way to torrential rain! Happily, I am not there.

Thunderstorms and rain were forecast for Glasgow, along with a warning of a threat to iife because of it. There's an open air concert by Jay-Z and Beyonce at Hampden Park tonight!

DM had a funny spell first thing this morning which delayed our shopping trip which, in turn, made the shops busier. A lot of people wait until after 10.00a.m when booze can be bought. I'd earlier been to the bank to deposit DM's latest premium bond win.

The travel home was so slow! Anyway, things unpacked, evening meal eaten and glass of wine poured.

    Happy Saturday to everyone.
