Ombudsman complaint help

Hi

I was rejected on my complaint to Santander FICL about mis selling of ppi. Their letter covered several store cards.

I would like to refer to the Ombudsman, my question is would I write one letter per ppi account or would one cover it all... they have same rejection reason for all.

Also anyone know current rough timescales with the ombudsman?

With thanks

:p

Depends when the store cards were sold. Prior to 2005, you can't use the ombudsman. Post 2005, you can.
One letter with all card should start the ball rolling if you do have access to the ombudsman

Did the rejection letters mention access to the FOS?

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yes it did and enclosed a FOs leaflet. I have seen on the FOs website they have dealt with FICL and Santander store card complaints.
They were taken out the same era as myself pre 2005

Send it to FOS and see, wouldn't be optimistic as Santander have been paying out on a lot of these so if they rejected it, either it was New Day or they don't consider it miss-sold and you never know
