I have a Draytek 2830n router connected to Sky broadband. It's working fine using Sky's DNS servers, but I want to test Cloudflare's DNS servers instead.

I've tried setting the DNS by going to "LAN > General Setup" and clicking the "details page" button for the connection. But as soon as I'm logged into the Sky account, the DNS changes back to Sky's.

Am I doing something wrong, or have Sky somehow made it impossible to use a different DNS to their own...?

EDIT: Ah -- I didn't see the box labelled "Force router to use "DNS server IP address" settings specified in LAN1". Ticking that seems to have done the trick!

With Draytek routers there's usually a setting somewhere to do what you want (and not what Sky wants!)...
