Motor insurance accident claim

Hi my names Richard
In January I had a car accident, I’ve recently had physio on my lower back for 10weeks, my insurance made an settlement offer to the other sides insurance company in which they failed to reply within the 21day period, I recently signed some court papers as apparently that’s the route in which it may need to be taken, well I spoke to my solicitor today and apparently the other insurance company have raised some concerns with my medical report, (not sure what yet exactly) is this something I should be worried about or are they just trying to waste time and hang it out for as long as they can before they settle it? Very confused as to what’s happening

Insurance companies (like any business) will always try to avoid or delay paying out. They'd be doing a disservice to their shareholders if they acted otherwise.0

They may want an independent to look at it.
When I was hit by a car when cycling I had doctor record, hospital records and plenty of photos of the injuries and they still made me go see an independent about a year after the event who spent 30 seconds checking I could move my legs and sent me on my way. They eventually paid up 16-17 months or so after (and even then quibbled over 2 bike rides I'd paid to do but couldn't for about £34 after I'd saved them money using my own physio!)Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The claims management companies often use the same doctors for all their medical reports.
Some Insurers have suspicions over how independent particular doctors are and may look further into the matter or appoint another doctor for their opinion0 -
Actually, that's now incorrect- about 2 years ago, the Govt set up an independent Medical Examination body, and ALL injury medicals must go through this- lawyers can not nominate the specialist who is writing your report.0
