Although I would maybe argue this as I understand why car insurance for instance might change on your address as you may have moved to a worse area where there is more risk of damage or theft etc but the fact we have still lived at our previous address should count and even if we have moved to another area the lender shoukd be more worried about what risks we have that will affect us in the new house they are borrowing on.
Knock me back for my credit issues fair enough but how an address we are at now for a few months can in anyway affect the new house is beyond me but maybe I am missing the point0 -
Something that dawned on me is our credit reports still say our old address and when appyung on this it was fine
Will the broker sticking a new address in that does not match to our report cause a different issue0 -

So broker got back and advised the Halifax BDM has advised they cannot do anything until it updates on our credit report that we are on the electoral rol at the new address. So it seems the issue with them isjust the fact we are not registered yet on the new address.
So the broker is off to another lender who manually underwrites and said they won’t have any issues as they have dealt with them before.
So the merry go round continues0 -
Okay so I will probably be advised it was not the right thing to do but as it is a soft search then I wanted to check.
I went on this morning and did a soft search with halifax and entered in our new address and okd when it asked for 3 year history and all our finances as explained to our broker and the AIP came back with an acceptance apart from the term was stated as 19years and not 25 which we have been advised is due to the retirment age which coukd be adjusted. i also queried the address and they said it is fine as the AIP states.
Is there something wrong here as why am I getting different answers and as others have said the adress thing should not be a problem?
Need to speak to my broker but this is really worrying and feel they are providing us no extra benefit at the moment0
