Any experience?

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this but, I don't know I just feel like I need to write it all down. Even just for cathartic purposes.

We have 2 cars, 1 which is our main one is my partner's Motability car and the other is a privately owned car insured through esure.

Whilst taking me to work today we were hit by another car whilst in car 1. We've informed RSA of the incident and it has gone down as a no fault claim on my partner's part as she was clearly in the wrong (3 lane island, we were in middle lane to go straight on and she was in inside lane and decided to move over without indicating and just drove into us, told us when we got out we should have just given way AND she was in the correct lane to start with so had no need to move over anyway).

We have to inform esure of the incident correct? Even though it is a different car to the one we had the accident in we do have to inform them, right?

I am so beyond gutted as car 2 is partner's dream car and he's had it less than a week and now he is terrified that this will cause the insurance on car 2 to become too expensive for us to keep it.

Plus all the stress of getting car 1 fixed and finding a courtesy car.

Anyone have any experience dealing with esure in this or a similar situation?

Are we looking at an astronomical increase to the policy we currently have with them or will it hit us come renewal time next year?

Again, we are not making a claim on the car insured by esure we will simply be informing them of an accident on another policy my partner holds.

Thanks for listening to my ramblings guys and gals.

What does your esure policy say?

You may just need to let them know on renewal.

Just read through the policy and it says it is our duty to inform them of any claims made by any drivers on the policy on any motor policy they are on.

So have to inform them, I was pretty sure we had to but now we know for sure.

Just wondering if we are looking at a price hike now or when we renew now I guess

Thanks for telling me to look.

Any potential price hike will be when you renew. Hopefully you will be able to minimise any increase by shopping around before renewing.

Any increase will be from next renewal, and may not be as bad as he fears.

About 2 years ago my partner had a fault claim (parking bump, her fault no question). On renewal her premium went up by £40.
