could you provide more details please, what are you trying to do, what version of Vista etc. The full error messages would be useful too. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
As BillScarab says, could you tell us what you were trying to do.
I can say that both of these numbers were coming up yesterday evening for Tiscali Broadband users in certain parts of the country. There were issues with the service and these were shown when my Sagem modem tried to connect. It was working again this morning. It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -
Think I solved the diagnosis which is that my laptop is continually downloading MS updates this is slowing up my system. Unfortunately I have no solution can anyone help?It pays to challenge0

What appears to be happening here is on starting the pc it goes into start repair mode and highlights errors, it then asks to go back to the last restore point which then means the last 31 Vista updates need to be downloaded the system is then slow because they're dowmloading and when you close the system it then attempts to install the updates which fails. The process then starts all over again start, start up repair, restore, upgrade.
What options have I apart from clearing down pc and installing recovery disk and starting again? It pays to challenge0
