Lawn is ruined after using lawn weed killer. How to reverse the damage?

Options
Hi guys,

I bought and used a weed killer for the lawn the other day. I followed the directions, but the next day there were patches all across the lawn which were brown and greyish where the weeds had been killed, but the surrounding areas had been damaged too. How do I fix this and reverse the damage done?

Sow fresh seed over the patches; quickest and easiest solution. Keep it damp, and perhaps sprinkle a small amount of soil or compost over to cover the seeds.

Sounds like you may have put to much down? I know I did this and reseeded smaller patches, but ended up buying a couple of rolls of turf and patching the larger areas.

Patience and rainwater will sort it out. Grass is fairly indestructible unless you keep walking on it when it's wet.

    Rinse/water regularly should help.
