Block Shed Insulation

Cheers armchaireconomist,
The Bitumen is a requirement to waterproof the block from the outside. From what you're saying the breathable membrane is negated presumably because the Bitumen coating will prevent the air from passing through the block?
I'm just trying to understand and your input has helped.
I suspect an air gap will not be needed either between the block and insulation for above reason.
Out of interest, just to hear your thoughts, how would you do it, it's a not a permanent living space, just spring, summer and autumn lounging during a few day light hours. I do want to prevent condensation in winter hence the question about insulation. There is an air brick on both side walls.
