    The general consensus is that the only reasonable thing offered to savers by Nationwide is the 5% Regular Saver. As someone has pointed out, they are not the only savings body offering this rate

    That may be your view but I don't think it's a consensus.

    They also offer an excellent Flex PLus account which pays 3% interest indefinitely as well as some very competitive insurance products.
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    Long term members can get up to 1% with a Loyalty Saver.


    Even those with 1 year of membership currently get 0.70%.


    Not great but compares well with most other easy access accounts on the High Street.

    My aunt's Nationwide branch account, Instant Saver Issue 8 is going from 0.5% to 0.1%. :j

    That's the low-interest-rate environment we're living in :D

    Still, if you want to borrow money to buy or keep a property, and have a 25% deposit, they offer a repayment mortgage with the rate fixed for the next ten years at under 2.8%.
