Morning all - back from holiday now and had a lovely time. Could have happily stayed in Malta as I like the sun and got used to it :)

Hope everyone is ok - don't think I will have much chance to catch up properly as got loads of washing and the usual holiday stuff to catch up with:cool:

Morning CW and anyone else around. Dull, cold and cloudy here too this morning! Lets hope the sunshine reappears later.

What a difference from yesterday. Yesterday was lovely and quite warm and today I am really cold.

Thought we were supposed to be having a heatwave around about now.

TS - Glad you had a lovely holiday. The idea of choosing neutral is so that I can change accessories when I get fed up.

CW - just been outside putting some plants in the garden and it is actually starting to warm up and the sun is trying to break through. Fingers crossed it manages to pop out again today. Just makes things feel so much better.

Just managed to get my first lot of veg/salad plants in the garden. Usually grow from seed, but with the bad weather and other time consuming issues at home haven't got round to it this year, so bought some plants from the market yesterday. Got our new extended veg patch so felt I had to do something. Will still grow some from seed, but they will obviously be very late in producing any veg.

Managed to buy some plants for the veg patch today in the market. Got a tray of 20 lettuce plants and 20 leeks for £2 each. Just so far behind with the planting this year, so these will get me started. Also bought a couple of pepper, courgette and tomato plants. Now need to get my seeds sorted.
Everybody's at leat 3 weeks behind this year due to that really cold March we had but well done :D

And well done to you too :D

I put my Sweet Potato experiment in last night with FD - they are going to live in the greenhouse. I've put them in veg growing bags.

So far I've started the following off from seed:
Carrots, peppers, leeks, cabbage, parsnips, sweetcorn, peas, broad beans, runner/cobra/french & Borlotti beans, courgettes, giant pumpkins, butternut squash, tomatoes.

I've also put 100 potatoes, some onion sets and shallots in at the allotment.

Hoping for a better harvest this year.

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend everyone :D
