    Thanks CW, knew you would know :) :A

    they are only free samples! gosh why would they think other people would desperately want them?

    But of course there is then the possibility that someone else could put in a bid or two to push them up ;) find out their max etc nearer the end if no one else bids ;);)

    Jeferey congrats to DD1 on passing her driving test :j:T will she be getting her own car soon:D;) or pinching yours when she gets the chance:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

    Hope her insurance won't be to bad think it is ridiculous the amounts they want to charge the youngsters these days for their insurance makes you realise why many youngsters then don't get insured:eek::eek::eek:. When DNephew passed about a year ago they wanted to charge him £4000:eek: no way they have that kind of many so falls to bank mum & dad, he managed to get it down to £1500+ by agreeing to have a black box thing fitted which restricts times they are allowed to drive monitors their speeds and stopping etc this was the only way to get it cheaper at the time.

    Glad youi enjoyed the London trip it is exhausting thou.:)

    Jax you should seriously think about doing the trip from Glasgow to London it is so quick now compared to the past 41/2 hours (as long as you don't travel on a Sunday:eek:) and if you can upgrade to 1st well worth the extra & sometimes booked in advance not much more than std. Free wifi food and drink during your journey and large comfy seats and no crowding makes a big difference to your comfort.

    Could just use the tour mic - that should give a few tourists a giggle (or confuse them :rotfl:)

    Have you looked into flights from Prestwick to London City? Not sure if any airlines now do that route but it could be an option, or as suggested the train is easy and pretty fast these days.

    We do the drive the other way to see OH family, must say it's usually the most mind numbing 6hrs of my life - thought at least the M6 toll keeps me sane, it's one 'treat' I do pay for in order to avoid going through Brum (don't have anything against Brum, just the M6 :cool:)

    Great news on your DD passing her test jeferey - well done her :j
    ]

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: agree could be quite funny:D:D:D;)

    We used to do the drive many years ago if we were going for a length of time but we would stop over in a nice little town for a few hours and break the journey up have lunch then carry on. I enjoyed it as all part of the holiday but then I wasn't the one doing the driving:D but DH definately wouldn't be able for it now. So we always go by train then if we planned on getting out & about visiting etc we hired a car. If only going for few days didn't bother with car.
