Hey Jax, we are going to try an arrange a drivel meet in the summer, I couldn't do the March one with all the funky weather we were having, maybe you will make that one? Could do open tour bus ride and you get to see quite a bit of london that way, although all the drivelling will probably get us kicked off the bus!

Could just use the tour mic - that should give a few tourists a giggle (or confuse them :rotfl:)

Thanks Aesop, sounds great but I don't fancy the travel from Glasgow to London, although, I might change my mind later on as I have always wanted to do the London/ West end show.

    xx

Have you looked into flights from Prestwick to London City? Not sure if any airlines now do that route but it could be an option, or as suggested the train is easy and pretty fast these days.

We do the drive the other way to see OH family, must say it's usually the most mind numbing 6hrs of my life - thought at least the M6 toll keeps me sane, it's one 'treat' I do pay for in order to avoid going through Brum (don't have anything against Brum, just the M6 )

Great news on your DD passing her test jeferey - well done her :j

    CW, your ebay expertise please.

I have had a bid on some stuff I got free, beauty samples, yay, but it shows as 6 bids, when I look at at it, it is the same person but at different intervals with the same bid?

Like 3 within 30 secs at 2.30am and at 3am within 30 secs another 3, but all showing the same bid?

    what's that about?

I have had that too in the past. Someone bid 7 times on something but the price doesn't go up.

Its when the buyer really wants the item (and wants to put other buyers off)and does lots of repeated bids. Each time they bid they increase it by a small amount.

    So for example -

    Bid 1 - £1
    Bid 2 - £1.10
    Bid 3 - £1.15
    Bid 4 - £1.20

    etc etc

As its the same buyer the price will only go up if another buyer bids, as Buyer 1's bid cannot be increased by themselves (if that makes sense)

Its done to put other buyers off (which it does) as other buyers will see lots of bidding and assume the price will increase dramatically if they bid.

Its something that is really annoying as it does mean the items rarely get another genuine bid.

If you were to cancel bid 2 onwards from the same buyer you could end up having problems with that buyer anyway as they could be angry and retaliate in feedback.

    Hope this makes sense
