Been to Boots and got loads of gift sets at 75% off.
Didn't even go till 10.30 and it was so crowded and everyone grabbing. Some people just took huge piles of things. There was one family who had a shopping trolley piled up sky high and they were all carrying things. Not sure what they were but they must have had at least 30 of what looked like black shiny bags, around 12 inches wide with carrying handles, but don't know what they were.
Hope everyone else got what they wanted

Well done CW, hardly anything in my local boots.
CM if I don't have the op now then things are very bleak.

Afternoon everyone, extremely cold here and not been out for days so feeling a little bored as haven't even seen anyone!
PM - I really think you should think very seriously about having the op, I know it is scary but surely in the end it would be the best thing.
I know I said above that I hadn't seen anyone for days, well that isn't completely true, I did have a salesman arrive yesterday to quote me for some conservatory blinds. Has anyone else on here had any experience of buying this type of blind? So far I have had 2 quotes, one from a local company and the other Thomas Sanderson - both quotes were about the same price, ie very expensive! I was very impressed with the Sanderson blinds but felt a bit uneasy when the salesman started his high pressure sales talk as soon as I mentioned that I would not be signing up then and there! Until that moment I was very keen on his company/blinds but after he left I found an old thread on here where people were basically saying the same thing, ie that they did not like their high pressure selling.
I have another company coming round next week to quote (Oakhurst, through John Lewis) but in the meantime has anyone on here used either Thomas Sandersons or Oakhurst Conservatory Blinds, if you have I would be very interested in your views on quality/service, etc.
In the meantime, keep warm and safe everyone.0 -
