    Morning all

CM - hope your little one is a bit better today. Just horrible when they are teething, so frustrating when they are in pain and there is nothing you can do.

Can anyone who has stayed in a De Vere hotel recommend a good location? Never used this hotel before but willing to give it a try for a cheap couple of nights away.

    Hi SD

I stayed at De Vere Whites which is attached on to a football ground in Bolton. Next door to it is a large Tesco then behind there, there is Middlebrook Leisure and Retail Park (Restaurants, Marks, Ask, Costa, Starbucks...loads of shops.

Take the train to Horwich station and it is a 5 min walk to hotel ( straight walk leading from station takes you to hotel).

Facing the hotel is again afew restaurants and pubs plus premier Inn. We used Harvester,Ask amongst others for the few days we were there.

We went into Manchester for a day (short train journey) had lunch, did some shopping had dinner then made our way back to hotel for a sauna and swim.

We enjoyed ourselves at this hotel. Most of the 4 days were spent going for a walk over to Retail Park, drinking coffee while reading then heading back for sauna before we went for our dinner. All dinners were bought with Tesco restaurant vchs.

Also, another benefit was free wifi in rooms which I loved. So I would catch up with the goings on in internet land while OH watched footie.

I just hope I don't forget this next Thurs.

Thanks Jax. Will definitely look at this next week, so long as I remember!

Can anyone else recommend any other De Vere Hotels just so that I have a choice of recommended options.

Just popped on to say how sorry I am about your birds PM, and I hope you have got your boiler checked out and all is safe and well.

TS, FT, CW - Hope you are all on the mend now and Chatmum -hope baby will soon be over his teething.

    Belated birthday wishes Blue.

I am feeling much better now, I think my eyes are just about back to normal (having gone to the doctors and got a prescription). We had a lovely sunny day on Wednesday and I played my first round of golf for over six weeks! Felt very tired the next day - it's surprising how quickly you become unfit when not doing anything physical!

Doc, I hope the job situation sorts itself out soon for you.
