    Hi CD
No I didn;t scan anything as my asda doesn;t have a self scanner.

To be honest I wasn;t very happy with their service anyway and wanted to ask BP whether she still had Asda head office phone number.

I wanted to use a apg of £10.50, but the receipt was only for around £12. ish.

the SA asked how much I had spent to get such a big apg and I said don't know. She then asked who printed the receipt, me or a asda store. She kept staring at it and then called a supervisor. The queue was building up and everyone listening to them muttering about the size of the apg. Eventually the supervisor told her to scan it but it came up with "enter Amount" so that caused another kerfuffle.

I told them apg's over £10 always do that and all she needs to do is enter the amount. So then I got "never seen it say that before" malarky from both of them. I was by now getting fed up with it all and then she said they are keeping the receipt.

I told her no she isn;t, the receipt is my property and that set them both off again. They both said the receipt has to be sent off to the cash office with the apg. I told her no it doesn;t and its a bit much when a member of the public knows more about these things that asda staff do.

Eventually after I got really stroppy she gave me my receipt back.

But I was embarassed and it had taken around 10-15 minutes (felt like longer) of messing around to pay.

Not good and was glad to get out.

So BP, if your reading this, do you have asda's phone number handy.
    ta hun.

This is the number I have called. I have called them whilst being trouted and it puts a stop to the trouting immediately.

Sounds like you had a horrible experience, I am glad you want to take it further. Otherwise they just get worse. Plus they make things up as they go along.

Talk about staff training and how embarrassed you were. I did this after they called security and they still only offered a £5 gift card which is abolsutely carp:mad:

Let me know what happens and sorry you had an awful time:(

Sorry to know you had an awful experience with A's.......Hope you get some good outcome with their HO hun xxx
Sending lots of big hugs xxxx

BTW today I got call from S's HO. They said as the products I was trying to use the coupons were already on offer so they refused to accept the coupons. (In fact the lady did not even see my coupons LOL).

In the end they offered £5 worth of nectar points for the inconvenience caused....:o
