Hi,
We recently had our loft made for storage, and had a pull down ladder fitted.
It on a spring attachment, but apart from the ladders being heavy, and when you pull it down they seem to drop pretty fast. You only get that hook stick which i find is not very good and i was wondering if anyone can suggest either a way to slow it down or a decent grippy pole to pull it down and push it up.
cheers

It sounds similar to the one we have. You can adjust the counterbalance spring tension by removing the plastic cover on the link that connects to the end of the spring and hooking the spring on a different angled slot.
Make sure both sides are the same.0 -
Did u notice any difference because we was told its the best it's gonna be.0

Yes. I chopped the folding stair down so the whole assembly is lighter. Ours is on the lowest setting.
I'd suggest you get up there and try altering the tension and see if it makes a difference.0 -
