Luckily, at that time no one was charging for that kind of waste at the [STRIKE]tip[/STRIKE]recycling centre, or for the several dozen tyres we took there.
Different story today, which we might not see the funny side of.
Unfortunately they'd just brought the charges in when we moved into this house - and as we're on a lane there was nowhere to put a skip.
I pulled pieces of concrete out of that garden that were so large, I couldn't even lift them an inch. We must have made at least 20 trips to the dump.0
