Reminder letter

I got a reminder letter for my ESA form to be sent to Health and Disability Assessment, Wembley ASC, 1, Olympic Way, Wembley, HA9 0NP and asked to send the form to them, so I did.
The previous original letter had a envelope with the address Health and Disability Assessment, Wembley ASC, Mail Handling Site A, Wolverhampton, WV98 1SJ.
Why two different addresses?
Thanks

The first is a general address the second a local, would be my guess.0

The Wolverhampton address is a central DWP sorting office (for want of a better description) and mail would then be forwarded to the specific office. The new address would seem to be cutting out a step and therefore theoretically at least speeding up the system. Also less chance of mail being forwarded to the wrong address.0

IME, involving Wolverhampton always delays everything by 2-3 weeks, if they don't lose it altogether.0

Actually, I think it gets electronically scanned at Wolverhampton into the relevant system rather than the physical mail beong forwarded0 -

That would depend on the benefit it relates to. Some do have documents scanned but others do, or did, still receive the original paper documents. For example, scanning a 64 page ESA document would be pretty labour intensive, and from a processing perspective the paper document is easier to work from.0 -
Everything that ends up in Wolverhampton
Then ends up in Telford or Kidderminster and electronically scanned !

Did I do the right thing sending my form to Wembley address as the second letter (reminder) asked me to?
The original first letter came with an envelope with Wolverhampton address.

If you've followed the advice in the most recent letter, you should be OK0
