I'm look for recommendations for a vacuum cleaner.
The total area to vacuum is fairly small. I have a small bedroom + landing + stairs carpeted, with the rest being wooden flooring, which I plan to lightly brush.
Requirements:
- mains powered
- bagless
Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

James Dyson has announced that his company will not be making any new corded vacuum cleaners, as he believes Dysons cordless vacuums are now so good, theres no need for a traditional plug-in model.
But i' ve got one of these and its brilliant.

I've recently bought a Dyson Small Ball and love it (well as much as you love a vacuum).

It's light but powerful and small for storage. Good tool options too and its good on both carpet and hard floors.
Had a Hoover and a Vax (briefly) before that and wish I'd got a Dyson years ago based on this.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

We had a Miele, changed it for a Dyson at the first opportunity. It'll have a bag, but Miele every time only vacuum you'll ever buy.
He said he's not developing any more corded cleaners, probably because the more he develops them, the worse they get. My old DC04 is way better than my new DC40.Tiexen wrote:James Dyson has announced that his company will not be making any new corded vacuum cleaners, as he believes Dysons cordless vacuums are now so good, theres no need for a traditional plug-in model.Tall, dark & handsome.
