Paid for parking but received a PCN

Hi, after advice as to how to dispute a PCN received for alleged non-payment of parking fee.

Parked on Tulketh Street Multi Storey, Southport on a Sunday where charges were advertised as £1 for all day parking.
Paid the £1 on return to the car park - initially the machine didn't recognise my number plate when entered (had to input last three digits) but then displayed my full plate, which I pressed and paid the £1 charge requested.

Have seen the standard letter you've provided to dispute around signage but just wondered how I should go about changing the wording without implicating myself as the driver and telling them I've paid the parking fee and won't be paying the PCN (typically I didn't request a receipt).

Thanks and apologies if posted similar elsewhere, reckon to have had a good look!

    An NCP car park.

Just send the blue text appeal unchanged.

    Send it as the keeper.

Agreed, please don't change the wording, the template is just to hook a POPLA code. Was this a windscreen PCN, if so, wait till day 26, as explained in the sticky.

And no-one needs ''good luck'' v NCP. No-one here pays them. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thanks for the quick reply.

Wasn't an NCP car park, was the one above Sports Direct and managed by G24.

And no, wasn't a windscreen PCN, camera in and out and no ticket issued on arrival.

I know you've both advised don't change the letter but conscious this refers to signage, whereas my claim is I've paid the legitimate fee.

    G24 - even easier.

An IPC AOS member. They will reject any appeal.
No point wasting any time adjusting the blue template.

Once rejected, ignore the debt collector's letters and that's it.

Here are your odds of a court case:
