Hi, my old digital camera has finally give up the ghost, so Im looking for a new model.
Can anyone advise on what I can get for under £100?
Im not looking for anything too flash, just take decent pictures I can print at 7x5 resolution, perhaps an optical zoom?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

It's the Casio Ex-Z30. Was £100, then £110, then £94, now £119 - go figure.
Anyway it is a nice little camera. BTW has a Pentax lens."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -

The Canon's are very good and have a good number of options if you want to do more than point and click. I think the A75 has a backfill flash too which can be handy.
I've got a Fuji which does what I ask of it and my parents have a Nikon Coolpix which they are very happy with.
Make sure you get a model with an optical zoom. Digital zooms are poor ( photosoftware will do a better digital zoom).
Try Boots, Jessops, Amazon, Jacobs, 7 Day shop

Nikon Coolpix 4100 from 7day shop is the dog's doo-dahs as far as I'm concerned.
Camera, 256MB SD-card, 4 rechargeable batteries and charger with international lead £143 delivered.
Good battery life (rechargeables lasted a week on holiday with constant use), excellent picture quality, optical and digital zoom, many user setting modes or point-and-shoot for quick snaps. Panorama, portrait and landscape assist modes.
Just buy it.0 -
I too can recommend the Nikon Coolpix 4100. I got it from Boots at £99.99p, it come with 2 re-chargeable batteries and an charger. You will need to purchase and SD card (at least 256MB would be recommended). It is out of stock at the moment but comes back in-stock regularly. You can also get codes for extra Advantage points if you check the relevant Chat Topic.
