Probate Registry & HMRC timescales

Update
I spoke to HMRC today on the IHT helpline number. They received my forms on 23/5/18 and I was given an IHT ref beginning A.
She said 'A' meant a 'non tax paying estate', HMRC papers were 'closed', and form IHT421 was sent electronically to Birmingham Registry 6/6/18.
Birmingham presumably received their forms on the same date, but didn't scan them onto their system until 29/5/18. I was told the forms are with their technical team - whatever that is, and average processing time is 3 weeks.
Feeling much calmer after conversation with HMRC:o0 -
Sorry M/c is Manchester! At that time they were very quick but Birmingham was showing delays.0

From my experience once HMR&C have passed things the PR are quite quick. Having said that the flow of work is unliekly to be smooth. Keep calm and wait is all you can do. Chasing them will achieve nothing!Cheers
My abbreviation for Manchester is Mcr hence my confusion
Brum still slow
