Recommend a cheaper basic good all in one printer please

I have always had epson but willing to change. I buy the compatible inks from ebay, so prefer one that takes those. Reading reviews of printers some are rubbish and so would appreciate your help, Many thanks, Linda

We have two Brother printers, always used to stick to other brands.

L2700 DW black and white all in one laser. Cheap as chips to run, software works on mac and windows as it should. Happily replace it with another.

L8410 CDW colour all in one laser - lot more cash, again great printer.

Unless I was printing photo's I don't think I'll sway from Brother now.

I bought HP Deskjet 3630 for £25 from John Lewis - seems this is the nearest model now

For infrequent printing it's great - had it 6 months and so far only been charged for ink @ £1.99 in 2 of the months

HP 6960 is excellent if you have the space (it's a small office machine that has a paper feeder for scanning and copying).

Another recommendation for HP Instant Ink, as above. (Works really well with the above printer, as it takes 4 cartridges).

get another epson, can't really be beaten for printing cost when using compatibles.
