Insurers want V5 logbook

Hello,

Its been about a month now since my insurers agreed on a settlement for my stolen (recovered, now they are scrapping it) moped.

I didnt hear anything at all so decided to send them an email to ask for an update.

I got this back:


Thank you for your email, however before we can raise payment we do require your V5 logbook, ignition keys and all lock in our office. Please accept our apologies as this was an oversight on our part.

!We also wish to confirm the revised offer;

The pre-accident valuation of £1350.00 less your policy excess of £250.00 = £1050.00
The amount of £340.57 will be paid for the amount owed on the policy.
Leaving £709.43 to be made payable to yourself.

I told DVLA i no longer own my moped and put my insurers address down as they are scrapping it, destroying my own V5 in the process as DVLA said.

So now they are asking for a v5 I do not own. I put my actual insurance company down (Lexham Insurance) as the new owners, but the people who scrapped it and are asking for the V5 are called 'Marble Arch Claims'.

Im stumped as to what to do..?
