PPI query

Am I correct in thinking I could send a letter to every company/bank I have ever had a loan, mortgage or finance of any kind requesting that they look into my PPI status as I believe I am owed money... I can remember the banks etc but not necessarily any accounts or details as they were 1994 onwards but I have never had any claims as don't have details. Surely the organisations would have them if I gave them my address at time and years held accounts etc????

would this be something i could do ?

thanks in advance for any help....

Surely not. 1994 must be at least a good couple of years ago now. The DPA would make it very unlikely they were clinging on to your details from back then.

Some of the more recent ones may have some records and could advise you if you had PPI.

You could then put in a complaint with the reasons why you believe they mis sold it to you.
