Stack it up and leave it to rot further? Burn it? Something else? I'm looking for the greenest, cheapest, laziest option! (Don't underestimate my laziness) Thank you
I'd just stack them somewhere and call it an eco friendly bug hotel for anyone complaining about the mess
My saver, also nicked for Bob Flowerdew, use urine as a compost booster instead of buying compost maker stuff..
I suggest you use a bottle for it & not try and reach the compost heap from the bathroom window:)Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Davesnave makes valid points about moneysaving & gardening, but it's good to save a bit - you can use the money saved on other things in the garden...
But then there's always those 'must have it now!' plants too...:o0 -

But try to get variety Bocking 14, because comfrey are prolific seeders and that one is sterile. Super duper bee plant too. You won't need more than one to start....

I'll second the comfrey foliar feed. It's really excellent.
Newspaper makes a good weed suppressant - not attractive but it does work & you can put bark on top. Bark can be bought at sawmills usually for peanuts. Well they do that at the one we use. You go on a weight bridge. We had a builder's bag filled & I think it was 90p they charged. Go on a dry day!0 -
Oh I'm all for saving, especially collecting seed and taking cuttings. I'm sure that by using the right varieties, people could buy very little veg or flower seed, or by sharing with others, have many free perennials.
But then there's always those 'must have it now!' plants too...:o
Thank goodness for that or I'd be out of work.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
