Virus in MSN Messenger?

Hi,

I need help. I seem to have gotten a virus through my MSN messenger. I now keep sending phantom messages to my contacts that I haven't written myself. I have the free avast anti virus software which can't seem to pick the virus up. I have no idea where to go next. Any help/advice would be gratefully received.

i have it it runs the process rundll32.exe im sure of it as i found it running and then researched it and deleted it and all the other 13 files belonging to it and no problems yet

the virus sent image20.zip from me saying things like

do you want to see my pictures before i put them on myspace(i dont have my space)
look at my new hair colour(im a boy)

basically the writer is not that brainy as if the virus was spread to loads of BALD people then surely everyone who received it off a bald person(assuming they knew their m8 was bald)what use would LOOK AT MY NEW HAIR COLOUR be?

also i scanned with norton,avg and spyeraser but nothing found it

it also blocks msn once its sent the file so you have to end task and sign in again

my mate had this virus on his windows server 2003 computer.

i knew it was a virus because the message said do you wanna see a pic of my... (a certain female body part) and had the image20.zip file attached :rotfl:
