Insurance Provider asking for more money after being insured?

Hi,

I've just taken out insurance with UDriveCover, I've been insured with them for around about two weeks now but they are now asking me for more money (in the region of £140) due to my poor validation check score (I've only just moved back home from University and currently my ID isn't correct for my home address as well as other aspects they check against). I appreciate the purpose of the validation check but having now been insured with them for a couple of weeks am I obliged to pay this increased sum or do they have to honour the amount they stated?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

I assume one of your documents you uploaded showed a different address - maybe the post code is a higher risk area.

You show explain that you haven't updated your driving licence - if that is the reason for the increased premium.

How much much was the next quote you received and if you are within 14 days you can cancel for minimum charge.

Or get your ID updated accordingly.
