A level distance learning course?

My daughter took her AQA AS level English Literature (7711) last Summer and got a B.
She is at university now but is looking at 'finishing off' her A level (7712) through a distance learning course in one year while she is in her second year of University.
I believe the AS now will not count towards her final result?
Has anyone any experience of either Oxford Open Learning (OOL) or Oxbridge home learning for these courses - or any other suggestions (evening classes do not work as they do not do the AQA courses locally).
Thanks

Unless the A-level is to help her get on Graduate Scheme, its pretty useless. The main function of A-levels are as a key to university, the degree over-rides that.
  • NEC is another option. I have recently started Spanish A level with them and it is going well so far - it is mainly following along with the textbook, with regular assignments to complete. I chose NEC over OOL as they seemed more supportive in getting an exam centre (languages are difficult to do as a private candidate due to the oral exam).
