    Thanks for the replies - think I have sorted it through a short-term loan then paying the monthly payments as normal thereafter. Much appreciated.

    Good luck - hopefully it wasnt a mega high APR percentage loan.
  • If you have sold the car they can still repossess it from whoever now has the car.
    Nothing to see here, move along.
  • If this isn't a wind up expect a visit from the police if the loan company find out you have sold their property and report it stolen.
