Garage cost

Options
Hi there,

I'm seeking to build a double garage in the back garden.
I currently have a single garage but require a double - putting all the planning and regs a side.

I was hoping of a rough ball part figure, the garage in mind will be brick built with a manual door. The ground is currently a mixture of lawn and flagging so the foundations will need to be strengthen up.

Thank you.

    Somewhere in the range £15-35k.

I would narrow that wide range to £10-35k as I doubt you can get it for less than £10k.

You'll get nothing for £5k. Realistically, you are in the £20k area for a double brick built garage.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

Agreed. There's a 1 missing from my post, which I'll amend.

Not recommending the company, but showing what you might consider, instead of brick.

Some timber buildings can look better than a brick or blockwork and rendered finish.

  • hi there,

Thanks for the posts. I'm probably going to stay with a brick built garage.
There are some builders doing some renovation building work on a house down the road - they will pop over tomorrow afternoon and give me a quote.

    Thanks for the help guys!
