Frequent Flyer AirMiles - Delta

Hullo everybody I am new here, so please be gentle with me 
I have about 36 000 Frequent Flyer miles and really want to fly to the US in August (poss July) can anybody help me with HOW the heck
it works? I have looked at the Delta website and I just don't know if I am entitled to anything with that many miles (maybe an internal flight to my final destination).
