Spider Solitaire

Can anyone recommend a Spider Solitaire game that is identical with the one included with Windows XP/Vista?

Microsoft in their wisdom do not include the game in Windows 10, and all the ones I've tried to download are full of advertisements/useless/clunky, etc.

I had a previous thread on this which has been closed and the link mentioned on it now relates to some foreign material.

Help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I think it's in Microsoft Solitaire Collection, I've never tried it though.

If you can cope with the win 7 versions (were an improvement) there is this.

The big updates every 6 months will delete it and you will need to re-install.

Yes it is - along with FreeCell, Klondike, Pyramid and Tripeaks.

In Windows 10 you click on the Windows icon at the far left of the taskbar on the home page and it should be an option there.

I can't comment on whether it's identical to the version in Windows Vista as I never had it though....

Had the same trouble when we bought new windows 10 desktop. Microsoft spider solitaire on windows 10 was rubbish so 15 google pages of searching for solitaire like the version my husband had been using and found it.
It's just slightly different but husband likes it so must be ok
Hope this link works for you.

This is perfect. Thank you. It works a treat, and I have bookmarked the page for any further use.

That's what happened last week. The latest Windows 10 update asked me if I wanted to pay £12 to continue using it, I refused and my copy of it disappeared.

£12? What for? The Solitaire Collection? That's been on my mum's laptop since it was upgraded to 10 and it has never asked for any payment whatsoever.

I've just got a copy of the .exe from a XP machine on a stick, popped it on every machine I've got and it works perfectly on vista/7/8 and 10 ;)

Did you really need to resurrect a nine month old thread to tell us this?

If you are on Facebook Spider Solitaire is on there. And yes the same game as XP.

I play a few solitaire games and found it by accident.
