Divorcing a missing ex, finding their address

Options
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help. I want to divorce my ex, we've been separated and haven't spoken for six years. I don't have a last address and his family are abroad (I don't have an address for them either).
I'd like to know if anyone has successfully divorced a missing person and how?
Also if anyone can recommend any people/agents that will help find someone for a fixed fee and also swear to the court with an affidavit if they can't find them? This is so I can prove to court I've done all i can to trace them.

Thank you

No unfortunately I have no address, no contact details, no work address, no friends or family I can contact. So I really need to hire someone at reasonable price who can either find him or more likely provide me with evidence that I can't. Ideally not costing £££s

Does he have a common or unusual name?
Do you know what he does as a living?
    Have you googled him?
    Have you checked Facebook?

Yes I've done all those things, I need help with finding a good person/company, ideally someone who's recommended who can do a professional trace and sign the proper legal paperwork the court can will require if he can't be found

    Have you tried 192.com ?

    https://www.192.com/people/

It does cost but again depends on how common his name is.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

Yes I've tried 192 thank you. He's very likely off the grid deliberately, I don't want to go into details here. This is why i need to find a professional person who can do a trace and also provide the relevant legal paperwork to court if he can't be found (which i think is likely)

Do you know where he used to work? If he was a member of his employer's pension scheme, they may hold an address for him.

Thanks my solicitor will be applying to the court to ask for a dispensation but has said I need to hire a private investigator first to demonstrate I've explored all avenues which is why I'm seeing if anyone has successfully done this and can recommend anyone

I would not worry too much about getting a good one as I think it is unlikely you will find him. Just hire someone cheap in the local area for a couple of weeks and use that as evidence to the courts that you cannot find him.

This seems more like a tick in the box as opposed to any need to actually find the guy.
