If i use whatsapp to make a voice or video call to a friend overseas, using my 3G/4G connection, will it use much of my allowance for say, a 10 minute call?
Excuse my ignorance question, have never used whatsapp for a voice or video call?

It depends if the recipient phone is on 3G or 4G too as it will "downgrade" to the lowest common denominator.
A good rule of thumb is around 1MB per minute for 4G-4G .. Less if one party is on 3G
It also depends on how talkative you are, as it doesnt transmit as much data if there is no sound to send
