One drive question

Can someone help me please.
I downloaded a "phone companion" app so that I could view my photos on either my phone or my laptop.
It downloaded one drive which is now full.
My question is this
If i delete a document from one drive will it also be deleted from the photos folder on my laptop?
Any help / advice will be very much appreciated

I dont think so, but try it .. take a random photo, then delete it from onedrive and see what happens
