You can also go Kirkcaldy to London ( I've definitely seen the £5 tickets for that route) - might be cheaper to get Dundee - Kirkcaldy ticket than Dundee - EdinburghTheir are tickets available from Edinburgh to London, so you might like to try booking Dundee to Edinburgh & then Edinburgh to London & back.0 -
anyone found any £5 tickets from Cardiff? Thanks, Sarah0

I experienced a few problems with this site. First, I didn't receive a confirmatory e-mail when registering but as my account was created anyway this didn't appear to be a problem.
I booked three journeys, saved them for later then moved to payment. My first mistake was not to pay for them all individually. I had two journeys saved, seats reserved as well when I received a message saying my outward trip on the third journey was no longer available. I had to book a different train.
I did so but then when I went to pay, to my horror I found my first two journeys had disappeared. I checked my account and there was no record of them. I then proceeded to pay for the third journey only to find that my saved details were no longer saved.
I spent over half an hour on the phone to web support explaining the position. A supervisor rang me back and eventually I got all my bookings confirmed. But the entire process has taken over two hours.
The following should be pointed out on the site but isn't. When you save a journey there is no mention of how long you can save for before losing it. This can be days or it can be seconds as happened to my third journey this evening - my outward ticket became unavailable in the time it took me to book my return.
There is nothing on the site to tell you to pay for each journey immediately in case you lose it. Indeed, the presence of the 'save for later' option will lead to many people losing cheap tickets.
For the record I got two singles for £5 each. I had to pay over £50 for the reverse (outbound) journey but as this is during the peak xmas period I wasn't surprised. I did have to pay £10 more on the third journey than originally quoted and of course whatever the cost of 30 minutes to an 0845 number is.0 -
It's worth noting that GNER also sell all-in tickets to Paris via Eurostar. We've just booked via Newark Northgate for a return price of (wait for it) £63 each! Even from St Pancras, Eurostar's new terminal (from 14 Novemeber) the cheapest tickets are £77. That means GNER are charging us MINUS £14 return from Newark to Kings Cross.0

My sister and I have both booked return tickets from Leeds to London on a Saturday in January :j Had to book as 2 singles (£5 each) and have to catch an early train (7am) but there were no problems booking them. Going to see the Millais exhibition at the Tate

Brilliant, we are off to York for a weekend. £40 return for Mum, Dad and two kids. Always fancied going there, but it is a long way to drive. Thanks to whoever passed this one on.
I think tickets are going quickly as availability seemed to be changing as I tried different time and date combinations.0 -
Great deal - many thanks!

The tickets are there I was looking today and found a load of them. Unfortunately, you just have to be less picky when you travel.
Once National Express takes over the line you'll probably have to say goodbye to deals like this. Unless you can travel from Sunderland to London with Grand Central.0
