OTC medicines

Maybe a stupid question but it's my first time going abroad. I'm travelling to Majorca and wondering if i can take paracetamol and Benadryl through customs? I like to carry paracetamol in my handbag at all times just incase i get a headache.

Paracetamol will be fine. I don't know about Benadryl, although I can't see anything to suggest it would be prohibited on a quick search, but if there's any doubt I wouldn't bother and just buy the equivalent in a farmacia when you're there if you need it - generally you can buy many more medicines over the counter in Spain than you can in the UK.

Put it your main checked in luggage.

You've more chance of winning the lottery than being scrutinised by Spanish customs on a package/DIY holiday to the Balerics.

If you mean Benadryl Allergy Relief (Acrivastine) then I'd definitely recommend taking it with you as it seems hard to find this medicine outside the UK (not that I've tried very hard). If it's the cetirizine one then it's probably available at Spanish pharmacies, but it would probably be more expensive than here so again, probably worth taking it with you.

As far as over-the-counter and other non-controlled medicines go, I'm not aware of any issues with taking these with you to any EU country. I've never come across another country in Europe where medicines (especially generics) are as cheap as here, so avoid having to buy them abroad if possible.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

I always take prescribed and OTC in hand luggage, never had any issues/questions anywhere.
