It could be the cheap tickets aren't yet available, when are you travelling?
Their site states that the cheap tickets are available for travel up to and including Friday 18 January. Tickets for travel between 18-27 January will go on sale from Thursday 1st Nov. Also there's limited availability at weekends.
By the time I got to it at 6 last night most of the ones round Christmas had gone. There are a few on the 1st from Edinburgh but those seem to be on trains which are left unbookable for the returning hordes from Edinburgh I think.
I got one for the 18th Jan. More are being released on the 1st Nov for travel between 19-27 Jan and if you get in early that might be your best bet for a bargain though I realise its a very small window of opportunity.

Has anybody out there managed to book one of these cheap tickets? I haven't! Any quick way of searching for the available dates?
