Problems at HSBC

I don't recollect this being aired before but I may have missed it.
The last part of setting up a standing order has always been like this for me:
Step 1 Press and hold the *** then enter your Secure Key PIN
When 'HSBC' shows on the screen, press the ***
The asterisks are mine, online there is nothing, just blank. Clearly it should be green or yellow but it's not wise guessing when moving money. I do full screen, it doesn't help. I'm not in a hurry, so I try to send an internal message. Several attempts to SEND, it doesn't work. I think I'm being directed to FAQ which is not what I want (it never is!). I simply can't get a message that tells me that my message has been sent or has been received.
Frustrated.

I tried to log in this morning using Chrome and I got a message relating to web server problems and to email website administrator or something.
I then tried using Internet Explorer and logged in no problem.0 -
I can always log in, that's not the problem!0

I'm guessing that you usually see an image of a green or yellow button so this could be a caching issue, clear yours and see what happens. You could try another browser and if it displays OK write it down somewhere0

I got round it! Tried on my iPad and it worked. The instructions were fully displayed. Went through the routine, again, but nothing happened after the last 'Continue'. I'd made a note of the sequence, as I now find has been suggested, did it once again on my laptop and this time it finally worked.0
