Who to address claim to Plevin.

I have recently had success in making a claim under Plevin with RBS. They wrote to me at the turn of the year and asked if they wanted them to reopen my claim - and I said yes.

I now want to claim some other loans and sent a DSAR to GE Money Home Lending who sent me the information back. In the DSAR they provide the information about the Loan Originator and the Loan owner.

The question I have is to whom do I address the claim? The originator or the owner?

Are there other considerations to consider when making a claim under Plevin.

The firm that originally sold it to you (which may not be the lender if a car dealer or broker was used).

Some loans were not regulated under the consumer credit act. Plevin does not apply to those. The loan must have had an amount outstanding and not been repaid before April 2008.
