Replacing PS/2 connector on keyboard?

The PS/2 connection on my keyboard cable has broken. Before I go out and buy a new keyboard, is there any way of replacing it?
I have a couple of PS/2 mice lying around in a drawer that have seen better days. Does anyone know if it's possible to snip the connector off one of those and attach it to the keyboard cable?
Thanks.

It's completley possible, but it's annoyingly difficult, you can buy a new keyboard for 2 or 3 pound from ebuyer.com0
