Unable to contact eBay seller?

I wanted to ask about sizing on a pair of shoes.
When I've tried to contact the (business) seller, eBay says:
'We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, due to the high number of emails this seller receives, they aren't able to respond to your specific question right now. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.'
What's this all about? I've never come across it before. I've managed to find a website for the seller so I can contact them that way but I am a bit confuddled!

When eBay bought the new rules in about off eBay sales sellers were getting warnings purely when a buyer asked questions about collection or location so many stopped accepting questions to save their accounts.
