Look in the loft. You'll see where the stack goes to. What's in the upstairs rooms also?
Is there a gas fire in the fireplce or is it just decorative and the back is level with the wall?
On the face of it, and knowing that type of typically British house, it has been removed somewhere but sometimes the chimney breast and flues live in the next door house. I'd expect to see the whole stack on the neighbouring side though.
That house would have only had one fireplace on the ground floor, imo. The stack isn't large enough for any more.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Looks like there might be stacks front and rear - the first roof picture shows the stack well forward of the ridge line, and the overhead view appears to show two stacks, but too blurred to be sure.
I agree the starting point needs to be seeing what horrors the loft contains."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Would a solicitor pick it up if the chimney breast has been removed in the searches?0

The front elevation picture is deceiving it looks like the stack is over the left hand house, but if you follow the roof tiles down it is in the centre, also the aerial photo shows the stack in the centre0
