Would I be a new customer (BT)

My employer currently pays for and has provided BT Business Broadband at my home. I am leaving this current role and therefore he broadband will cease.

There are quite a few offers on with BT for new customers vi Quidco etc. Would I be eligible for new customer deals as contract is with my employer and not with myself?

Who's name is on the bill?
If it is yours then I would suggest BT will see you as an existing customer.
If it is your employer then you would be a new customer.

Big employer? Do they get the bill directly, not you? If so you are possibly provisioned on their BT Enterprise Account. If that's the case I believe you will look like a new customer.

Who's paying for the phone line, is that in your name?

If it's your phone line you probably want to be setting up your new broadband provider before your employer does their cease, to try to ensure continuity of service. If you do this in advance they will automatically see the cease on your account in their system when your service switches.

Business services and residential services are treated differently. Do they provide just broadband, or is this also including a phone line?

If including a phone line, was the previous BT residential line taken over by BT to be used as a business line, or did they install a second line?
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
