I would take NPM seriously and prepare for a claim form. You should take the advice to get your own photos and to check the site plan - though with so many tickets any argument that the signs were not visible will be moot.

You should also check with the local council about who pays the rates and with the land registry about who owns the land. This will be key when/if NPM produce a contract as they cannot impose terms on trespassers** unless there is a contract between the occupier/owner and NPM

** CM has mentioned trespass as it has a specific meaning in these cases but you will have to wait to see if they stick to that idea when a claim comes. They may change it in their particulars.
